A perfect blend of power-vinyasa based yoga and slow, restorative-based. We want you to come out of this training feeling confident in your own practice + excited to teach others all the different styles yoga offers!

Upon completion of a 200-hour YTT program, participants should feel confident in their ability to lead a yoga class, have a solid understanding of yoga principles, and be equipped with the tools necessary for ongoing personal and professional development in the field of yoga.

FAQ:
1. What types of training do you offer?
- We offer comprehensive teacher trainings (e.g., 200-hour), weekend intensives, specialty workshops (prenatal, vinyasa, yin, trauma informed, restorative, sequencing), and continuing education modules. It’s a very well rounded training so you can feel comfortable teaching all styles of yoga!
2. Who can join?
- Anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice or teach yoga! We don’t have any requirements for this training other than someone who is willing to learn and uplevel their practice!
3. Do I need to be flexible or strong to enroll?
- No. Yoga is for every body. Trainings teach modifications and progressive practices—strength and flexibility develop over time.
4. How long is the training and what is the schedule?
Our training is from September-March. We have 108 in person hours as well as 100 reading, teaching and at home hours. This includes the second weekend of every month as well as every Wednesday 6pm-8pm (optional but highly recommended)
5. Will I receive a certificate?
- Yes — upon successful completion of course requirements you’ll receive a certificate to teach yoga!
6. Is there continuing education credit (CEU)?
- Yes! Some workshops offer CEUs; details are provided per course.
For the 200 hour training, you will be come a certified yoga teacher.
7. What is the teacher-to-student ratio?
- We aim for small groups (6–15 students) to ensure hands-on feedback. Right now we have 7 yogis signed up! We have 2 main instructors, Amanda + Natalie, with different inductors coming in each weekend to give you their speciality!
8. What should I bring?
- Yoga mat, towel, water bottle, comfortable clothing, notebook, a small bolster/block/strap if you want your own, however we provide all of this! Any extra snacks you’d like during this time. We do have a small fridge if needed!
9. Are props provided?
- Yes, basic props (blocks, straps, bolsters) are provided for in-person trainings. You can always bring your own if preferred.
10. What is the refund/cancellation policy?
We do not offer refunds for this training. We hope you are so dedicated to this that it doesn’t cross your mind!
11. Is payment by installments available?
Absolutely! We are open, whatever you can afford per month is fine with us. Once full payments are completed we will give you the certification. Please email thegroovyyogastudio@gmail.com to get on a payment plan.
12. What if I miss a session?
- Make up sessions must be done with the instructor at their private rate ($125 per hour) for each 4 hours missed, you will make up 1 hour in person.
Example: if you miss 24 hours, you’ll make up 6 hours = $750
If multiple people miss that weekend, yall will split that rate together.
Depending on what we learn that weekend, we might be able to do some online / reading material. Per getting your certification, we do need a certain amount of in person hours though.
13. What if I have injuries or medical conditions?
- Inform us before the course. Modifications are taught for many conditions. We are not medical providers; seek medical clearance if needed.
14. Will I get a manual or learning resources?
- Yes, we provide a course manual and recommended reading list. Additional resources, recordings, and suggested homework are included.
15. Do graduates get teaching opportunities?
-yes! You’ll pick a weekend at the end of our training to do a donation based yoga class. You can pick the charity you’d like to donate to!
16. Are photos or recordings taken during training?
- Photos/recordings may be used for promotional purposes with consent. If you prefer not to be included, notify staff.
We will also do our own scrapbook and have photos of eachother (personal use)
We will also ask you to video your own class to watch back but you won’t have to shown anyone, this is for your personal gain.
17. Do you provide accommodation/food for residential retreats?
- No, food and drinks will not be provided. You are welcome to bring any snack/drinks. We have many restraunts in old town near by during lunch break you are welcome to go get whatever you’d like!
18. How do I enroll or get more information?
- If not already enrolled, go to pricing plans on our website and click “yoga deposit” ($500) this will secure your spot! Email us thegroovyyogastudio@gmail.com to talk pricing plans or pay the full amount. We will invoice you!

20. Are classes included? - Some! Every Wednesday 6pm-7pm Energy with Amanda is included. After this class you can head next door to daydream to discuss anything you need to go over! No other classes are included, however the second weekend of every month you will get all the weekend classes as well as Sunday yin 6pm-7pm (optional) if you’d like to come to more classes, we will give you a rate of $105 per month so you can enjoy classes at a discounted rate (unlimited) please note this price is not on our website and we will have to register in person. Just let us know!
