Meet Jamille
I found yoga on my healing path after 20 years of bedside nursing. I had no idea how much secondary traumatic stress I had absorbed helping people during their medical crises. I completed my 200-hour teacher training followed by an additional 50 hours in trauma-informed yoga. Yin yoga helped me slow down and start to actually inhabit my body, and sound baths brought me to a level of calm I did not know was possible. I found Yoga Nidra during graduate school and received my level 1 training in iRest Yoga Nidra. So, of course, these are the modalities I share. I use sound and frequencies conducive to facilitating brainwave activity that stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest/digest) in my classes.
As a result of my own pranayama practice (breath expansion), I have developed greater ability to emotionally regulate and usually bring these more subtle expressions of yoga into my work as a somatic psychotherapist. I am a level II Reiki practitioner as well as an Acudetox Specialist (5 needle ear acupuncture protocol). I am a gong master and have worked with both crystal and metal singing bowls for years. I also enjoy bringing the hang drum, rattles, chimes, and Native American drumming into my sound baths…every experience is qualitatively different!
My passions include: teaching about the powerful intersectionality of yoga and mental health; using neurobiology to help guide folx doing deep therapeutic work; holding sacred space for others during their healing journeys; collaborating with various light bringers to help each other and the world heal; creating both practical and magical art; belly dancing, Qi Gong, and drum circles.
I welcome your questions, curiosity, and feedback, and I look forward to holding space for you.

Yoga instructor + studio owner
I am a homebody through and through. I’ve been married 8 years to my husband Kiefer and we have a six-year-old daughter, Stevie, and a five-month-old baby boy, Bodhi.
You’ll usually find me upside down in an aerial hammock, lost in a sound bath, or relaxing.
My path to yoga wasn’t a straight line. My very first class was a high-intensity vinyasa session that honestly terrified my nervous system. I walked away and didn’t try yoga for a long time. It wasn’t until I moved to Burleson many years ago and wandered into a slow, grounding class that everything changed. It was the first time movement ever felt like a gift instead of a chore. That feeling—the relief of finally slowing down—became my favorite movement practice!
I spent my college years studying interior design and working for a design firm, while falling head over heels for yoga. That passion led me to my 200-hour training, aerial and prenatal certifications, chakra healing certifications, reiki master level, and finally my 500-hour RYT. After completing a specialized yin training a few years ago, Reigan—one of our incredible teachers and a dear friend of mine—and I started dreaming, looking for a fun space, and laying the groundwork a yoga studio!
It’s been a journey to land where we are, I’ll save that for another day. Just know we are divinely guided: this space, me, you, all of us. I’m so grateful to be here!
I curate my playlists around mellow sounds: acoustic covers of familiar songs and soft rhythms.
Loving and supporting this community is everything to me; it doesn’t matter if you’re brand new, returning after a little time away, or have been here for years—I am so glad you’re here.
